How Nito picks: one honest pick per market, settled in public
The rules behind every Tipnito pick: one pick per market, a 60% confidence bar, a sane price range, frozen at kick-off and settled in our public record.
Every pick you see on Tipnito follows the same short rulebook. Nito, our owl, writes the note next to each pick, but the pick itself comes from our statistical model, never from a hunch. Here is how it works.
One pick per market, not one "lock" per match
For each upcoming match the model looks at several markets: the match result (1X2), double chance, both teams to score, over/under 1.5, 2.5 and 3.5 goals, and Asian handicap. In every market it keeps at most one pick: the selection it is most confident about.
If two opposite picks in the same market are close, we publish neither unless one leads by at least 10 points. A coin flip stays a coin flip.
The bar: 60% confidence
A pick is only published when the model's confidence reaches 60%. Below that, the market stays empty, and Nito says so. Picks from 65% upwards get a High confidence badge and can appear in the Top predictions on the home page.
Confidence is not a guarantee. A 70% pick should still lose about three times in ten, which is exactly why we keep score.
A sensible price range
We only publish picks priced between 1.30 and 5.00. Very short prices barely pay; very long ones are mostly noise. The price shown is the best one we can find among the bookmakers we compare at that moment.
Frozen at kick-off, settled after the whistle
Picks can still change while new information arrives before the match. At kick-off they are frozen, and after the final whistle each one is settled against the result: won, lost, half-won or half-lost on split handicaps, or void.
The public record
Every settled pick goes into our track record, wins and losses alike, with the hit rate and profit per market. Nothing is deleted after a bad weekend.
